People who work in schools are often exposed to multiple illnesses, infections, and pathogens on a daily basis. Some of these “bugs” are innocuous, but others—especially those that are carried in human blood—can cause serious illness.

How can you protect yourself, the students, school volunteers, and other employees from bloodborne pathogens? The answer to this question is the primary purpose of this course.

Often people think the healthcare population is the only employee population that needs to focus on protection from bloodborne pathogens. However, every employee in every line of work should be aware of the risks and the protective measures they can take to keep themselves and their work community safe.

How can you protect yourself, your customers, and other employees from bloodborne pathogens? The answer to this question is the primary purpose of this course.


Starting Your Business: An Introduction To Regulatory Compliance

Regulations are not always easy to find, understand, or know if they apply to your business, especially if you’re just getting started. In this one-hour course, we provide an overview of the following:

    • Forming Your Business and how to get the process started
    • The five basic legal types of businesses
    • What regulations are and where they come from
    • Regulations that may affect your particular business, including:
      • regulations for food businesses,
      • zoning considerations,
      • labor laws, and
      • harvesting from the ocean.

Throughout each of these topics, I’ll be sharing some general information and providing specific resources for you to explore on your own.
